About

Small Budgets. Big Aspirations.
Career BeginningsĀ
Michael DiMonte has been making movies since he was six years old. As a result of being an only child and not having any friends who were interested in making movies, DiMonte honed his craft through stop motion animations and one-man crew projects where he used a tripod to both direct and star in his productions. Around the age of thirteen, DiMonte became extremely interested in independent cinema and the art of low budget filmmaking.
Career Expansion
DiMonte formed the production company "Water Trail Studios" when he released his directorial debut, "Driving Delco", at fifteen years old. The film premiered at the Colonial Theater in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania and sparked DiMonte's interest in exploring stories that take place in his hometown of Delaware County, Pennsylvania. At eighteen, he started his TikTok page that now has over 15,000 followers and documented much of his journey writing, directing, and distributing his feature film debut, "Pennsylvania Movie".
Current Works
As of May, 2026, DiMonte has finished filming his second feature film, "All The Mayor's Men". Similar to his previous film, the project was produced for only $1,000 and is meant to show aspiring filmmakers that they do not need many resources to tell compelling stories.
